Masala Uttapam Recipe
Uttapam is very famous recipe of South India, it is like pancake and unlike dosa it is little thick with veggies as toppings. Here I am adding a twist in this recipe and adding aromatic spices for texture and flavor. The base of this recipe is rice and lentils which has been soaked, grind and fermented. Let’s learn how to cook this recipe.
Masala Uttapam
- 1 cup Soaked Rice and lentils batter
- 1 tbsp Finely Chopped Coriander leaves
- 1 tbsp Finely Chopped Green Chili
- 1 tbsp Finely Chopped Onion
- 1 tbsp Finely Chopped Tomatoes
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
- 1 tbsp Curry Powder
- 1 cup Vegetable Oil
- Take the batter and mix all the ingredients along with 1 tbsp of vegetable oil and salt.
- Heat a pan and grease it with vegetable oil, with the help of spoon form a disc like shape as shown in the image.
- Roast from both the sides and your masala uttapam is ready to be served with your favorite chutney or sauce.
