Mooli (Radish) Paratha Recipe

Paratha is the recipe of Indian subcontinents and derived its name by Hindi word parat meaning layar of atta meaning flour dough. We can add any thing inside to give its name like filling of potatoes can make potato paratha etc. Here I’ve filling of radish  so the recipe is radish or mooli paratha which is very easy and tasty recipe, it will not require much embellishment while preparation so let’s learn how to cook this recipe.

Mooli (Radish) Paratha

  • 1 cup Grated Radish
  • 2 cup Wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp Curry Powder
  • 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tbsp Finely Chopped Green Chili
  • 1 tbsp Finely Chopped Coriander leaves
  1. Take grated radish and add half tbsp of salt, mix it well and put it aside for 5 minutes.
  2. After 5 minutes segregate the juices from radish and add this juice in the preparation of dough, add water also as per the requirement.
  3. Add all the ingredients in grated radish and mix it well.
  4. divide the dough i.e. if you have to cook 4 parathas then form 8 ball like shape as shown in the image.
  5. With the help of rolling pin prepare the chapatis.
  6. Spread the filling above chapatis as shown in the image.
  7. On the edges apply little water and stick another chapati above it, I’ve use this technique so that partha can be smooth, you can do it in traditional way also for saving time.
  8. Heat a pan and put your patatha and let it bulge as shown in the image.
  9. Apply clarified butter or vegetable oil and turn is and let it turn golden brown from both the side, your recipe is ready to be served with any veggies or chutneys.
