Quick Chola Recipe

When there is less time for cooking then we don’t prefer cooking chola, but this technique will help you cook chola recipe in just 10 minutes. In my previous post of Yellow Peas Chola I’ve explained how to cook chola traditionally. Let’s learn step by step process to cook quick chola recipe.

Quick Chola Recipe

  • 1 cup Overnight soaked Yellow Peas
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Ginger
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Green chili
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Onion
  • 1 cup Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Salt (As per your taste )
  • 1 tbsp Chole Masala Powder
  • 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Oil
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
  1. In a grinding jar add tomatoes, ginger, garlic, green chilies,onion and grind them to make a thick paste.
  2. In a pressure cooker temper cumin seeds.
  3. Add mustard oil in the same cooker and add grind ingredients and fry them unless fat separates.
  4. Add turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, chola masala powder and salt.
  5. Add soaked yellow peas into it.
  6. Add half a cup of water into it and put the lid on.
  7. With 5 whistles or within 10 minutes your recipe will be ready to be served.
