Soya chaap is the recipe prepared using lobia (Black-eyed beans) and soya nuggets, it is little chewy. It mimics the texture of meat, hence it is a vegetarian protein-rich recipe, it a delicious treat not just for vegetarians but meat lovers too. It is available in the market in frozen form, but why not try this at home and refrigerate it by ourselves? So today we will prepare this recipe at home just using three ingredients. It is being used to prepare many recipes like soya chaap curry, malai chaap, tandoori chaap etc. Let’s learn this recipe.

  • 1 Cup Lobia (Black-eyed pea)
  • 1 Cup Soya chunks
  • 1 Cup Refined flour (Use as per the requirements )
  1. Take soaked lobia and strain it, boil soya nuggets and put it aside.



  2. Add lobia in a grinding jar and grind it.



  3. Transfer ground lobia into another bowl.



  4. In the same jar add broken pieces of soya chunks and grind them coarsely.



  5. Transfer both the ground ingredients in a mixing bowl.



  6. Add refined flour and mix them well.



  7. Prepare a dough.



  8. With the help of a rolling board and rolling pin prepare a flatbread.



  9. With the help of a knife cut them as shown here.



  10. Fold it on a chopstick.



  11. All the chaaps are ready.



  12. Heat water in a container and as it is on its verge to boil, then add chaaps.



  13. After 10 to 15 minutes it is ready.



  14. Place it on the plate and let it cool down, as it cools down transfer it into an airtight container and preserve it for the preparation of delicious recipes.
