Sponge Gourd Curry Recipe
Sponge gourd is very easy to cook recipe, which can be served with rice or chapatis, this recipe is very light hence easily digestible. It requires very few ingredients and hence quick to cook, I have used overnight soaked bengal split lentils to add flavor, let’s learn step by step process to cook Sponge gourd curry recipe.
Sponge gourd Curry Recipe
- 1 cup Sliced Sponge gourd
- 2 tbsp Overnight Soaked Split Bengal Lentils
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Salt (As per your taste)
- 1 tbsp Mustard Oil
- Heat a pan and add cumin seeds into it, let it splutter.
- Add mustard oil and soaked split yellow peas in the pan.
- Add salt and turmeric powder in the pan along with half a cup of water.
- Add sliced sponge gourd in the pan.
- Stir fry and cook it unless its rawness vanishes.
- Serve it with rice or chapatis.
