Sprouts kadhi|Mung, moot & black gram kadhi

Today I am going to share a very delicious, low-calorie healthy kadhi recipe, I have used multiple sprouts in this recipe, just to make it more healthy and delightful. I soaked mung beans, moot beans & black gram one day prior to the preparation, just to make sure they get sprouted. Kadhi gets an extra shot of nutrition with the addition of sprouts. Normal traditional kadhi with everyday spices gets an enchanting aroma and flavor.

Sprouts kadhi | mung, moot & black gram kadhi

Kadhi Preparation

  • ⅓ Cup Gram flour
  • ⅓ Cup Curd
  • ¼ Cup Sprouts (Including Mung beans, moot beans & black gram)
  • ½ tsp Panchphoran {It consists of equal amount of fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, Kalonji (Black cumin seeds) & black mustard seeds}
  • 1 Piece Bay leaves
  • 2 Piece Dried red chilli
  • 5 Pieces Curry leaves
  • ½ Cup Chopped Onion
  • 5 Pieces Chopped garlic
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • ½ tbsp Salt

Tempering Preparation

  • ½ tsp Mustard oil
  • ½ tsp Clarified butter
  • 1 Piece Dried red chilli
  • ½ tsp Cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder

For Kadhi Preparation

  1. In a grinder jar add ⅓ rd cup of gram flour & ⅓ rd cup of curd, blend it to form a solution.



  2. In a wok add ½ tsp of panchphoran, bay leaf, mustard oil, curry leaves & dried red chilli, let it splutter.



  3. Add chopped onion & garlic then fry it to turn translucent.



  4. Add curd solution, sprouts & water just to adjust the consistency, add salt, turmeric powder and coriander powder mix it well, then cover and cook it for sometimes after a boil switch off the flame.



  5. Heat a ladle add mustard oil, clarified butter, cumin seeds, dried red chilli and kashmiri red chilli powder and prepare the tempering.



  6. Put the tempering and serve it with boiled rice.
