Thukpa Recipe|Veg Noodles Soup Recipe
Thukpa is the recipe of Tibet, it is basically a Tibetan noodles soup, which was originated in the eastern part of Tibet. It is said that this recipe was introduced by Dalai Lama’s mother among the refugees of India. So it hails from Tibet and the areas near the Himalayas. It is also very famous in Nepal, Bhutan, and the states of Sikkim, Assam, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh in northeast India. It is also a prominent food in the Ladakh region and the state of Himachal Pradesh. It got several variances via concoction of ingredients, few people add non-vegetarian items into it, but the main delight was a vegetarian version, so today I am preparing it with tofu and spaghetti with several veggies available at home. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.
Thukpa Recipe | Veg Noodles Soup Recipe
- 1 tbsp Mustard oil
- 1 tsp Chopped Garlic
- 1 tsp Chopped Green chilies
- 1 tbsp Chopped Beans
- 1 tbsp Chopped capsicum
- 2 tbsp Chopped Carrot
- 2 tbsp Chopped Spring onion
- 3 tbsp Chopped Onion
- 1/2 Cup Diced tofu
- 1/4 Cup Boiled Spaghetti
- 1 tsp Salt (As per the taste )
- 4 Cups Water
- 1 Pinch Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp Demerara sugar
- 1 Pinch Black pepper powder.
In a wok add mustard oil and heat it.
Add chopped garlic into it.
Add chopped green chilies into the wok.
Add chopped capsicum and diced carrot into the wok.
Add chopped spring onion into the wok.
Add tofu into the wok.
Add Chopped Onion into the wok.
Add boiled spaghetti into the wok.
Add demerara sugar, salt and black pepper into the wok and stir fry them.
Add turmeric powder into the wok.
Add four cups of water into the wok.
Cook it for 30 to 45 minutes on low to medium flame.
Recipe is ready to be served.
