Urad Dal Vada (White Lentils) Recipe
Urad vada is known by several names, but the virtue of its taste is delightful. I’m giving a twist to this recipe by adding vegetables which can balance the cholesterol level. The veggies inside the recipe is making it delightful and healthy, although it comes under the category of fried food, but then also it will not harm as starch content inside the vegetables making it easily digestible, moreover it is home cooked so there is no risk of any coronary disease because the passion and pure devotion while cooking removes the wrath. Urad(White Lentils Vada Recipe
- 1 cup overnight soaked Urad lentils
- 1 tbsp Chopped Ginger
- 5 Cloves Garlic
- 1 tbsp Celery (Ajwain)
- 1 tbsp Chopped Green chili
- 1 tbsp Chopped Coriander leaves
- 1 tbsp Grated Carrot
- 1 tbsp Chopped Spring Onion
- 1 tbsp Chopped Onion
- 1 cup Vegetable Oil
- In a grinding jar add soaked husk of while urad, add chopped ginger and garlic cloves into it.
- Make the paste in the same consistency as shown in the image.
- Take the ingredients as shown in the image.
- Mix these ingredients in the same batter.
- Mix all the ingredients and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in the pan and make the vada as shown in the image.
- Remove it from the flame and segregate excess oil, if you want you can use kitchen towel.
- Serve it with your favorite chutney.
