Veggies Appam with Idli batter | Quick and Healthy Snacks

Preparing your own food at home is optimal if you’re seeking both nutritious and appetizing meals. Today, I am cooking a dish that meets both criteria and can be quickly prepared using homemade idli batter consisting of semolina. This batter is not only healthy but also easy to make at home. Although I haven’t shared the recipe yet, I have already made two batches of idlis using it. Despite this humorous setback, still some batter is left, and I am going to make this snack recipe. Veggies Appam with Idli batter | Quick and Healthy Snacks

  • ¼ Cup Chopped veggies of your choice (I have included, beans, carrots, capsicum, tomato and onion.)
  • 1 Cup Idli batter (Mine is semolina idli batter that too homemade )
  • ½ tsp Butter (Just for greasing the griddle or appam pan )
  1. Take a chopper and chop the veggies of your choice.



  2. Take the Semolina batter and put the veggies and mix it well.



  3. Heat the appam pan and grease it with butter, then place the batter with the help of a spoon.



  4. Cover it and cook it from one side.



  5. Then flip it over and cook it from another side, and when it looks crispy and golden then remove it from the pan.



  6. Serve it hot with chutney of your choice, or mayonnaise.
