Amla chutney for Vrat

Indian gooseberry or Amla is one of the most important foods in Ayurvedic medicine and is a storehouse of nutrients, it is also considered as the superfood in Ayurveda. Daily intake of amla will keep your skin glowing and young, it will keep all the illness at the bay, even those who are suffering from constipation can enjoy this fruit, there are innumerable benefits associated with it, some of them are listed below:

  • It treats cough, cold and flu even removes mouth ulcers.
  • It helps in reducing cholesterol levels, amino acids and antioxidants aid in the overall functioning of the heart.
  • It is helpful in managing diabetes, also aid respiratory diseases like asthma.

So, here I am preparing a recipe for all the vraties who can eat this during the fasting and can gain the benefits out of it. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe at home.

 

Amla chutney | Indian Gooseberry Chutney

  • 1 Cup Gooseberry
  • 1 Cup Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp Mint leaves
  • 1 tsp Chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp Rock salt
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp Roasted cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp Water
  1. Take gooseberry and place them in a bowl.



  2. Add water to submerge them.



  3. Microwave it for 20 minutes or simply boil it.



  4. Strain the water and let it cool down. Note: do not trow that water as it may be beneficial for your hair



  5. Remove all the seeds.



  6. In a grinding jar add gooseberry, coriander leaves and mint leaves.



  7. Add chopped ginger, salt, black pepper, cumin powder and lemon juice.



  8. Grind them and preserve it in the refrigerator for more than a month and eat.
