Bottle Gourd Zest Bhujiya Recipe

It is very interesting to know that the zest of bottle gourd can also be treated as veggies and can be cooked and is very delicious too. Here I have prepared bottle gourd zest bhujiya recipe, let’s learn and cook at home.

Bottle Gourd Zest Bhujiya Recipe

  • 1 Cup Bottle gourd zest (It should not be pilled off but use knife to remove its cover, it should be little thick)
  • 2 Pieces Medium to Small size Potatoes (Pilled off and chopped)
  • 2 Pieces Small Sized Onion (Chopped)
  • 2 Pieces Green Chili (Chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Mustard Oil
  • 1 tbsp Salt (As per your taste)
  • 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  1. Take all the ingredients as shown in the image.
  2. Cut the zest of bottle gourd as shown in the image.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp of mustard oil in a pan and add chopped onion into it.
  4. Add chopped green chilies when onion turns transparent.
  5. Add chopped potatoes and let it cook for sometime.
  6. Add bottle gourd zest and let it cook unless its rawness vanishes.
  7. Add turmeric powder and salt and mix it well and keep stir fry it for some more time.
  8. Serve it with rice or chapatis.
