Chocolate Pua Recipe

This holi I was wondering to prepare chocolate pua, but I found no chocolate pieces left in my refrigerator. Finally thought to use chocolate powder in the recipe giving it a twist, along with other ingredients. And flabbergast! here it is. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.

Chocolate Pua Recipe

  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour (Maida)
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 tbsp Dry fruits like almonds, cashew nuts
  • 2 tbsp Chocolate powder
  • 1 pinch Cardamom Powder
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 cup Already prepared sugar syrup (this is optional)
  • 2 cup Clarified butter (Ghee)
  1. In a container add all purpose flour, milk, sugar, cardamom powder and all the dry-fruits and mix them well, cover it with plastic wrap and put it aside for 20 minutes.
  2. After 20 minutes add a tbsp of clarified butter and again keep mixing the ingredients for few minutes, add chocolate powder and keep mixing all the ingredients together and put it aside.
  3. I’ve used HERSHEY’S Cocoa powder.
  4. Heat clarified butter in a pan and with the help of ladle prepare pua.
  5. After 2 minutes flap it over and cook from another side as well.
  6. Serve it hot.
  7. You can even put them inside sugar syrup for few minutes and serve them.
