Curse Accepted By Sri Hari

We often come across questions about  the incarnations of lord Sri Hari in the form lord Ram (18th avatar) and Lord Krishna (20th avatar) which adds dilemma in our thoughts, but one thing we should never forget that half knowledge is always dangerous. We should probe our vedas and puranas to know the answer about the questions which are prevalent these days. We should know the answer about several riddles which unaware people throws. Why they lived in isolation? Why they betrayed Mata Laxmi (माता लक्ष्मी) in their incarnations? If they where almighty then how they accepted curse? If they where divine then why such pernicious things happened to them in mrityuloka (मृत्यु लोक) ? The answer to these questions are already given in our pious books and several Vedas (वेद), Shastras (शस्त्र), Puranas (पुराण) etc.

So, I have clarified some  common doubts in this post. Questions and queries are most welcomed.

Stories In Brief :

1 When king Dashrath (दशरथ) got the information about Lord Shri Hari Vishu incarnation as his Son, then he was extremely appeased but at the same time he came to know that when lord will complete his work on earth, i.e. when he will give moksha (मोक्ष) to Ravan (रावण) then he will end his journey (लीला). Dashrath got submerged in grief and requested god to take his life span and stay on earth for the human benefit. Lord accepted his request and took his life span, but as  it was not  possible for mata Sita (माता सीता) to stay there with Dashrath’s life so she left and spent rest of her life in jungle.

2 Another Story depicts that once mata Sita (माता सीता) while playing with her friends came across birds, (तोता मैना) they where talking about balmiki Ramayan (बाल्मीकि रामायण) sita was a little girl at that time so she was very curious about that story and she inquired more about it, but they narrated half of the story as they were unaware about rest of the story, so they told sita that rest of the story they will narrate to her later. But Sita didn’t allowed them to flew away without completing the story, however the male bird managed to escape leaving his pregnant better half alone, hence female bird cursed Sita that same condition will be faced by her during her pregnancy she will be deserted by Shri Hari and hence the same thing happened to Mata Sita as she accepted the curse.

3 Once there was a beautiful princess her name was vishwamohini and her fate was so bright that if she marry anyone then her husband will become the king of 3 lokas, Narad muni was eager to marry her hence he went to Lord Vishnu and requested him to give him Hari appearance to impress that princess, actually Narad muni was willing to acquire Lord Hari appearance. Lord Vishnu gave Hari appearance to Narad muni for that sayamvar and Hari means monkey so he got monkey look and went to Sayamvar by looking at him every one started laughing and vishwamohini didn’t accepted narad muni but she accepted Sri Hari Vishnu as her husband because it was her fate, As she herself was incarnation of goddess Laxmi. When Narad muni came to know about his monkey appearance then he cursed Lord Vishnu that he will have to get separated from  godess Laxmi during his incarnation, as narad muni is considered as lord Hari’s great devotee so he accepted the curse.

4 Once there was a war between devta’s And danav, Lord Vishnu destroyed most of the devils but some of them went to the ashram of sage Bhrigu. It was sage’s wife who use to give shelter to everyone who comes for help in her ashram. When lord Shri Hari got this news, then he went to the ashram of sag bhrigu and requested sage’s wife to leave the path as it was not good for human benefit. But she was tied under her promise of offering help to refugees, thus she refused to handover devils and accepted to submerge her soul within shrihari, lord understood her dilemma and he gave her vaikunth dham. When Bhrigu Rishi came to know about it, he got submerged in deep sorrow and cursed Lord Vishnu for desertion from his wife goddess Laxmi as well, but later when he realized that it was for human righteousness then he felt bad and re-framed his statement by saying that Sri Hari and Mata Laxmi desertion will be for good cause.

It is a great saying (जाकी रही भावना जैसी, प्रभु मूरत देखी तिन तैसी) it means our vision can change the appearance of lord, if we treat him our friend he will act as friend, if we accept him as teacher he will become teacher, if we want him to become our child he will come in that form also. So concluding I would like to focus upon the fact of our puranas, which is repository of in-depth knowledge half knowledge is dangerous to us, so we should not listen to others those who are not trusting our vedic culture, we should inquire much because this whole life is also not sufficient for getting those knowledge, so keep reading and sharing your thoughts here I’ve tried to compress the information in brief, Jai sri Hari.
