Mango shrikhand is the dessert recipe of Maharashtra and Gujarat, but due to social media and cultural spread, people all over the world are trying this recipe, it is just a blend of some sweet, ripped mango with a soothing mix of yoghurt, saffron and cardamom. Mango with curd is a heavenly combination one can have in summer! Shrikhand being a creamy and luscious Indian dessert is paired with the king of fruits. This Mango Shrikhand recipe or Amrakhand recipe is very easy to make, provided you have all the ingredients in place. To begin with, it is best to use Homemade Curd (yogurt) to make the hung curd that is the main ingredient in this shrikhand. You can choose any other sweet and pulpy variety of mangoes. Alphonso mangoes will yield a thicker consistency.

  • 1 Piece Mango
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Cup Curd
  • 1 tbsp Assorted dry fruits
  • 1 Piece Crushed cardamom
  • 4 Strands Saffron
  1. Make hung curd using a cotton cloth and a strainer.



  2. Make the mango pulp blend with 1 tbsp of sugar.



  3. Add chopped assorted dry fruits and mango pulp to a container and mix them well.



  4. Add hung curd and mix it to form a smooth consistency add cardamom powder and saffron and the Shrikhand is ready.
