Jowar or millet dosa is a super healthy, delicious, and very easy dish perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it is an absolute weight loss delight. It is a very Crispy and crunchy and quick-fix recipe. Recipes require our own innovation, as the basic process of cooking does not vary, just the ingredients vary which is really interesting to choose as per our taste. I am making it simple if you want can add semolina, rice flour, or any other flour of your choice along with jowar flour just to enhance its flavour.

But I am just adding a slurry of boiled rice which acts better to maintain its texture (Totally optional). You can choose rice flour or semolina just to make it easier to be spread on the griddle. The addition of spices, tomatoes, capsicum, coriander leaves, chilies, onions, etc. makes it more flavourful.

If you are looking to include jowar in your diet, also Gluten-free recipes and if you are not willing to roll chapatis instead then this is the best option. Preparing healthy, filling, and a different variety of breakfast or evening snacks each day is a hectic task. But this recipe is so quick and instant and does not require any hustle and bustle of grinding, fermentation, high on nutrition, and low on calories. But this is a perfect choice for all those who are looking for a healthy wholesome quick dish for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Sorghum dosa |Crispy Jowar Millet Dosa Recipe | Gluten-free

  • 1½ Cup Jowar flour
  • 1 Cup Paste of boiled rice (You can replace it with rice flour, semolina or any flour of your choice)
  • 1 tbsp Chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp Chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Chopped curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp Chopped capsicum (Green chillies and coriander leaves can also be added )
  • 1 tsp Salt (As per the taste )
  • ½ tsp Cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp Carom seeds
  • ¼ Cup Grated carrots
  1. In a bowl add all the ingredients and add water to make a batter.



  2. Heat a griddle, grease it with oil and place the batter.



  3. Cover and cook, flip it over.



  4. Serve it.
