Dhaniya (Coriander) Panjiri/Churan Recipe

Coriander Panjiri is a sweet dish specially prepared on the occasion of Janmashtami. This recipe is served as offerings to Lord Krishna. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare this recipe.

Dhaniya (Coriander) Panjiri/Churan Recipe

  • 3 tbsp Coriander Seeds
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Dry Fruits (Almonds, resins, cashew nuts etc)
  • 1 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • 1 tsp Clarified Butter (Ghee) (Optional)
  1. Dry roast coriander seeds unless you get aromatic flavor from it.
  2. In a grinding jar add Sugar and roasted coriander seeds and take a whirl around.
  3. In a bowl add chopped dry fruits and cardamom powder and mix it well.
  4. Take grind roasted coriander seeds and sugar and add a tsp of clarified butter in it.
  5. Mix it in the bowl of dry fruits and the recipe is ready, you can even dry roast all the dry fruits for crunchy twist.
