Mooli Paratha|Radish Paratha

I thought to prepare radish paratha, as this recipe is really tricky to prepare due to its sogginess while rolling , but after prolong effort I realised that there are several easy ways to prepare this paratha which no one will tell you, instead of placing one chapati over the other one can follow the steps given here. Let’s learn step by step process to prepare mooli paratha.

Mooli Paratha | Radish Paratha

  • 2 Cup Wheat flour
  • 3 Pieces Radish (Peeled off )
  • 3 tbsp Clarified butter (For applying on paratha )
  • 1 Cup Chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Celery seeds
  • 1 tsp Grated ginger
  • 1 tsp Chopped green chillies
  • 1 tbsp Chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  1. Take one and a half cup of wheat flour in a container.



  2. Add water and prepare the dough similar to the dough of chapati.



  3. Cover the container and put it aside for thirty minutes.



  4. Take radish and grate it using the thin side of the grater.



  5. Add chopped onion into it



  6. Add salt as per the taste and mix it well.



  7. Transfer the ingredients in a cotton cloth and squeeze all the juices.



  8. Transfer grated radish into another bowl and mix it using a spoon.



  9. Add celery seeds into it.



  10. Add chopped ginger, green chilli and coriander leaves.



  11. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder into it and mix it well, the filling is ready.



  12. Divide the dough into equal parts.



  13. Prepare the dumplings.



  14. Prepare the bowl shapes as shown in the image.



  15. Place the fillings into it.



  16. Prepare the dumplings.



  17. Roll it using the rolling board and rolling pin.



  18. Pressure should be low so that it can easily rotate.



  19. Place it on the griddle.



  20. Grease it with clarified butter.



  21. When it turns golden brown Paratha is ready.
